This one was taken in the series of shots as "Mystic Pier". I was shooting my exposures as I would like night shots (see Downtown L.A.), and shooting with film still, you don't get that instant gratification of knowing what you just shot. So when I got the film back, I was pissed - the whole roll was totally wrong. I tossed it aside and moved on. Weeks later I picked it back up and revisited what I had shot, and I realized these shots came out better than I thought. It looks like the sun is rising up behind the pier. Either that or a nuclear blast just wiped out Catalina Island. Shot on film with a Canon A1 and a 15mm Fisheye lens at the Huntington Beach Pier.
